Etnies Jameson 2 Eco is the vegan skateboard shoe that marked the first (okay, technically second) post of this blog. All canvas upper, (most made with natural and or recycled cotton) cupsoles with a vulcanized style (made of recycled rubber) and most of the laces are made from P.E.T. which is a fancy way of recycling plastic bottles into woven textile. Easily this is one of the greenest skateboard shoes simply in the construction. Also a great shoe for shredding.

I thought it fitting to mark this 6 month milestone and the end of the year with some new colorways and a reminder of SoleTechnology’s commitment to the environment with the, “Buy a Shoe Plant a Tree” program. Not only are Jameson 2 Eco’s made with environmental impact in mind, but every shoe plants a tree at La Reserva Forest in Costa Rica. La Reserva is healing rain forests that have been devastated by animal agriculture clear cutting. They plant trees that create “eco-bridges.” Providing native species a way to thrive between larger wooded areas. Check out their site for more info on their work.
